The Name of Jesus
Day 23 Luke 1: 26-33
“You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.” Luke 1:31
There is no other name by which one can be saved. The name means
“the Lord is salvation.” Anyone calling on the name of Jesus, knowing who He is, will receive His help in time of trouble and eternal life through faith by His Grace.
“Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” John 17:3
The Saving Name
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13). Baptism is administered “in the name of Jesus Christ” (Acts 2:38), demons flee at His name (Acts 16:18), and healing is granted “by faith in His name” (Acts 3:16).
Dear Heavenly Father,
How precious is the name of your only begotten Son. When I think on His Name I am reminded of all He did to secure my life here on earth and throughout eternity. Thank you for sending your Son to die on the cross for the punishment of my sins.
I am THANKFUL for His salvation now and every day.
