His Love

Wear this on Your Hand and Bind this to Your Heart

Deuteronomy 11:18-21

Before Jesus went to the cross, He gave His disciples these commandments:
His commandments were to abide in Him and His Love.
“Abide” means to “remain”, depend on, and stay with. We abide in Him by listening to His Word and doing what He says.  (John 15: 1-17)

His two commandments are to love God with all of our heart and to love others as much as we love ourselves.  (Matthew 22:34-40)

 God Showed Us His Love
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

How We Show Others, We Love Them
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”  1 Corinthians 13: 4-7

How We Show God, We Love Him – “Lift Jesus Up”
And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” John 12:32

  • Put God first in Everything: Time/Money/Occupations/Family/Friends.
Mary put Jesus first and was rewarded with His presence. (Luke 10:38-42)
  • Read and Meditate on God’s Word, daily.
  • Be ready at all times to share your faith and the gospel.
  • Commune with Christ through Prayer
  • Keep His Commandments of Love.

    The Fruit of God’s Love

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulnessgentleness and self-control.  Against such things, there is no law.  Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.  Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”  Galatians 5:22-25
