“Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.” Luke 6:38
Nothing illustrates this concept in giving than what takes place after the birth of a child; the breasts begin the process of giving milk and in time overflow. No scientist can determine where in the body the breastmilk originates and how it is produced, but one thing is known it is the perfect food for an infant, nothing else comes close.
And the more the breasts give, the more it produces the milk flows.
I’ll never forget the time I gave birth to my son, my second child. It was the most transforming experience of my life. I trusted God for his birth and not man. Without any medical interventions, the Lord delivered.
“She said, “With the help of the Lord I have brought forth a man.” Genesis 4:1
What followed was the confidence to breastfeed this precious child which was more about faith than technique.
And isn’t that faith? God has all the provision we need, if we tap into His love and trust, the milk continues to flow.
“Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.” 1 Peter 2:2-3
All it takes is to be hungry and thirsty for the Word of God.
