The Son’s Reflection

“We Shall Behold His Glory”

Matthew 24:29-31

“Immediately after the anguish of those days,
the sun will be darkened, the moon will give no light, the stars will fall from the sky,
and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.”
Matthew 24:29

Immediately following the anguish that is to come, the sun will be darkened and the moon will give no light.  The stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

The sun has always represented to me to be God’s eternal light- placed strategically, it gives light to the earth and shines both on the just and the unjust. Everyone can see God’s light. The moon that reflects the Sun and can be seen at night is God shining His light in the darkness.  Even when the earth turns away from the glory of God’s light, God’s light can be seen in His reflection on the Moon. Jesus being the Light has “shone” us this with His life reflecting His Father’s light. He was the full illumination of the Sun- and was placed at the right moment in time to reflect His Glory. Those who witnessed the Life of Jesus Christ saw a great Light. And those who believe in their witness also reflect His light.
But there will be a time when the sun will no longer give its light, and the moon can no longer shine to receive its glory. Even the stars in heaven which represent the angels who’ve been given power will be shaken, and fall away, making way for the “King of Glory to Come In”. (John 9:4)

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” Hebrews 1:3

Lord, your faithfulness is manifested every day as the sun never ceases to rise. You manifest yourself in the things created. Please open the eyes of the blind and let your light come in before this sign appears, this is your mercy and warning to all who dwell on the earth.

About Doula Faith

I am first and foremost a child of God, "born again" into the Kingdom of God through faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has called me to be an "Encourager" of faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. I have learned through some painful trials of His unconditional love. The apple of my eye, is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Living Word.
