Resourceful and Strong

Called Blessed

“Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things but you surpass them all.” Proverbs 31:28-29

"She rises while it is yet night
and provides food for her household
and portions for her maidens.
She considers a field and buys it;
with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.
She dresses herself with strength
and makes her arms strong.
She perceives that her merchandise is profitable.
Her lamp does not go out at night."
Proverbs 31:15-18

                                                                  Scripture Context: Proverbs 31

Scripture Focus: Proverbs 31: 15-18

S– She rises up early enough to make sure she has food for her whole household. She plants her own garden for food and knows how to profit from selling what she makes. She makes herself strong and is willing to work long hours until her work is done.

R–  This reminds me of how Jesus would get up before dawn to meet with God so He could do the work He was called to do. His food was the Word of God and His strength came through meeting with God every day, not just once and awhile. He would continue diligently, until the work of His Father was done.
We make ourselves strong by abiding in Christ before the day begins and throughout the day and night. Apart from Jesus we can accomplish little, but through Him we can do all things because He gives us the strength to accomplish His will, when we remember to abide in Him. John 15:4

Cross References- Philippians 4:13, Matthew 6:33, John 15:5

P- Thank You Lord that your Word reminds me that apart from you I cannot do what you want for my family or the Kingdom of God, but through you I can accomplish all things, because it is your abiding Spirit that strengthens me.

About Doula Faith

I am first and foremost a child of God, "born again" into the Kingdom of God through faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has called me to be an "Encourager" of faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. I have learned through some painful trials of His unconditional love. The apple of my eye, is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Living Word.
