Writing Your Own Devotional

The Lord woke me up very early, before dawn, one day, with these words,
“Can you not spend one hour with me?”
Thus, began the intimate relationship He desired I would have with Him and His Word.
He wants that relationship with you. If you spend time with Him, He will spend time with you.
Revelation 3:20

Is He Knocking?

Writing Your Own Devotional

What is the Holy Spirit revealing to you in these verses?
Read the whole chapter first for context. Luke 9
Then read Luke 9:10-11.
Write out a summary of what the verse is actually saying, keeping it in its context.
2 Timothy 2:15
As the Holy Spirit gives you understanding, write it out, along with any cross-refences that come to your mind. Your response to what you hear the scripture saying, is your prayer. When you abide in His Word, and His love, He promises to answer your prayer. John 15:7

Abiding in His Word

“As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit-just as it has taught you, remain in him.”
1 John 2:27

“Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.” Luke 24:45

Doula Faith’s Devotional:  Luke 9: 10-11

Date: 4/8/21

S (Summary)- The disciples told Jesus all they had done and so Jesus slipped quietly away with them toward the town of Bethsaida. But the crowds found out and followed them there, and so He taught them about the Kingdom of God and He healed those who were sick.

R (Reflection)- Jesus never turned anyone away, no matter how inconvenient it was. Sharing Jesus Christ and helping someone in need is not always convenient for us, but like Jesus we should just make ourselves available whenever we can. Have it in mind not to hold back when you have the opportunity to do good. “Do for others what you would want them to do for you.” In this we represent Jesus.
Cross References: – Luke 6:29-31- Give to everyone who asks.
Luke 10:33- The Good Samaritan who stopped what he was doing to help a man in need.

P (Prayer)- Dear Lord, please develop within me the mindset to see a need and meet it whenever it is necessary, and not hold back anything I am able to do in you. In Jesus Name, Amen
