Day 5
Context: Isaiah 9:1-7
“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.” Isaiah 9:6-7

Through the prophet Isaiah God promises where there is darkness will come forth light.  And it will take place when a child is born who from the time of His ministry will establish His Kingdom and take upon Himself our burdens as He reigns sovereign, forevermore.

During the time of Christ’s life on earth He preached the coming of His Kingdom and took on the burdens of all who placed their faith in Him. God gave Him that authority. All who believe enter His Kingdom, and enter His rest. He carries upon His shoulders our salvation, counsel and gives us His Peace.

Lord, thank you that you have taken on the burden of our sins by sending your son to take on our punishment, by death on the cross. All those who look to You as Lord and Savior, find peace and rest. May I continue to look only to you, and no one else for not only my salvation but guidance throughout my life.
For Your Kingdom has already begun and will continue throughout eternity.
(John 3:3)

About Doula Faith

I am first and foremost a child of God, "born again" into the Kingdom of God through faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has called me to be an "Encourager" of faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. I have learned through some painful trials of His unconditional love. The apple of my eye, is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Living Word.
