Life Through Death

“Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds”.
John 12:24

Recently, I’ve been studying the event that took place in 1956 claiming the lives of five missionary men. They had the divine drive to reach the tribe of Indians in the Amazon jungle in Ecuador. This tribe isolated in the remote jungle were known to kill anyone trying to encroach their territory. In fact, men previously had lost their lives trying to do so. But driven by the love of Christ and His gospel, Jim Elliott along with four other men flew their plane near the Waodani territory and successfully engaged them. It was a successful encounter, but subsequently, in the second attempt, surprisingly, and unexpectedly, the five men were savagely speared to death.
Instead of their wives retreating, they moved forward to continue the work and the calling God was placing on their lives. Elisabeth, the wife of Jim Elliott, left widowed, with a 10 month old baby, held no animosity nor hatred for the ones that took her husband’s life. Instead,  she was compelled to go back and live among them teaching the same gospel message. Through countless attempts and waiting, she finally became successful.
The Waodani Indian who admitted killing her husband, was won over by her forgiveness and love for Christ as were others in the tribe.

As the news infiltrated the media about Charlie Kirk’s horrific death, many found themselves grieving over his lost. Through “Turning Point”, he was determined to speak the truth about our country and its values to a generation of young people who did not understand how God had made this country good and great. He challenged them to think for themselves and to examine their own beliefs.

Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” John 8:32

Just as Christ’s death brought salvation to many, + the seed that was sown in Jim’s life and death, and now in Charlie’s life and death produces the same fruit of truth and salvation in the exact place where their lives were poured out.

‘For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.” Matthew 16:25

I believe because of Charlie Kirk’s life and death, many will be praying, and our youth will come to faith, restoring our nation to its biblical roots.
Doula Faith

“I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers, and it was not there. I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her fertile fields and boundless forests, and it was not there. I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her rich mines and her vast world commerce, and it was not there. I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her public school system and her institutions of learning, and it was not there. I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her democratic Congress and her matchless Constitution, and it was not there.

Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits flame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great.”

About Doula Faith

I am first and foremost a child of God, "born again" into the Kingdom of God through faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has called me to be an "Encourager" of faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. I have learned through some painful trials of His unconditional love. The apple of my eye, is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Living Word.
