Our Beloved Son

“Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb?  Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.” Isaiah 49: 15

Do you know how God relates to His children? One only needs to search the scriptures to discover His nurturing nature, and how much He loves those in faith.

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.” Luke 13:34

“I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love. To them I was like one who lifts a little child to the cheek, and I bent down to feed them.” Hosea 11:4

“Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”  Matthew 19:14

I’ll never forget how the Lord taught me to give birth and breastfeed. My precious reward, my son, will forever, be a part of my fond memory.
How could I forget, that day; and the precious face of my son, looking back at me.
(Genesis 4:1, Isaiah 40: 11)

“He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.”  Isaiah 40:11

When Jesus began His mission here on earth, His heavenly Father was there to tell everyone, “He was well pleased”.

“And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17

What a wonderful encouragement it was to hear His Father’s voice at His baptism,  before He went fasting into the desert of temptation those 40 days.  In all that the Father sent Him to do, He did it all perfectly, completely and was resolute.  And again, prior to His crucifixion, He was glorified before His disciples as His heavenly Father expressed again, His love for His Son and how “He was well pleased”.

“While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!”
Matthew 17: 5

At this time, when I reflect on that first day I held my son in my arms, and in the years that followed, I can honestly say with all sincerity,
We are “Well Pleased” and proud of our son who has faith in God and works, patiently and diligently.

I am so proud of you, Michael, for the man you’ve become.  You’ve educated yourself, are successful, and have a wonderful family and friends.
You are a devoted husband and father; everyone can see.

You always reach out to those less fortunate than yourself,
And are there, for the rest of your family;
Especially, your father and me.

So we are so proud to say, This is our beloved son, whom the Lord has given to us, and in whom, we too,  are well pleased.

Love, Mom and Dad

Our Blessing
“The Lord bless you
 and keep you;
 the Lord make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
 the Lord turn his face toward you

and give you peace.”
Numbers 6: 24-26

About Doula Faith

I am first and foremost a child of God, "born again" into the Kingdom of God through faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has called me to be an "Encourager" of faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. I have learned through some painful trials of His unconditional love. The apple of my eye, is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Living Word.
