A Practical God

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

I have access to a healthcare app with results of my blood tests and links to comprehensive information explaining the tests and what to do. This was made available through my healthcare provider, which I am very appreciative. It makes possible to have an intelligent discussion with my Physician to compare the best options for treatment.

I am one who will do research to gain more information to increase my understanding.  In this day and age we are inundated with sophisticated technology to access what we want or need to further our knowledge. When I reflected on this, the Lord reminded me, He is a practical God, and although He works in the spiritual realm, He works in the natural as well, making available and accessible tangible tools to accomplish His will in understanding His Word.

When examining how God’s Word is made accessible, available, and comprehensible, clearly, we can see the progression. God has made His Word (Christ) known, first of all from what He has created. Then by the spoken and written Word – engraved stone tablets, writing on parchment paper to books, and now as digital transformation.

He has increased its distribution through translations, the printing press, with rapid transportation to lightning speed – cyberspace. With each advancement He inspires people to do the practical work in making His God-breathed Word known.
(Matthew 24:14)

Today, with advanced developments, many can dig deeper into God’s Word by accessing printed and online Bible tools and applications (biblehub.com). This is God’s grace and gift to us in these last days.

Right now, amazing excavations are taking place in Israel giving further evidence to biblical places and events. And, for those digging deeper into God’s Word, personal revelation is made known- His precious gems.
(Deuteronomy 29:29)

The Word says that in the last days, knowledge will increase with false teachers and prophets deceiving the uninformed.  But God has given those in Christ Jesus, His Holy Spirit and practical tools in understanding His Word and making it known.
(Matthew 24:24, Daniel 12:4)

About Doula Faith

I am first and foremost a child of God, "born again" into the Kingdom of God through faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has called me to be an "Encourager" of faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. I have learned through some painful trials of His unconditional love. The apple of my eye, is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Living Word.
