Anchored in Hope

Posts Secured

“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,  Where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”  Hebrews 6:19-20

While studying the construction of the Tabernacle I saw the fence that enclosed the courtyard as significant as it relates to the Church. The white linen cloths connected by the posts/pillars stand righteously erect,  set securely positioned, and immovable within their bronze bases. (Exodus 27:17-18)
But what suddenly got my attention was how the posts representing the Body, the Church were anchored within and outside the courtyard, secured on both sides with strong pegs and ropes.

Immediately, I thought about how God promised to hold us up by His right hand. Though we fall, we will not be cast down because Jesus is at the right hand of the Father interceding for those in Christ,  holding us up whenever we lean too far from His grace.
Our hope is anchored in His salvation and redemption will surely take place.
(Ephesians 1:13, Hebrews 7:25)

Further demonstrated is how the pillars are held firmly both inside and outside the courtyard; symbolizing, that we are in this world but not of this world. As believers, we stand firm in our relationship with Christ and firm in our faith. (Philippians 4:4-6)

The Tabernacle sets squarely within the Courtyard where Christ’s presence sustains.
He is in us and there He reigns and remains.

About Doula Faith

I am first and foremost a child of God, "born again" into the Kingdom of God through faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has called me to be an "Encourager" of faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. I have learned through some painful trials of His unconditional love. The apple of my eye, is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Living Word.
