Walking Out our Faith

Context: 1 Timothy 4: 1-16
Focus: 1 Timothy 4: 11-16

” Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love your faith, and your purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

“Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching.  Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you.”
1 Timothy 4:16

The way we live our lives should exemplify what we believe and match what we teach for our own sake and for those who are to be saved.  Talk is cheap, and therefore, we need to put our feet to what we believe and say.

Sermons We See
by
Edgar Guest

“I’d rather see a sermon than hear one any day;
I’d rather one should walk with me than merely tell the way.
The eye’s a better pupil and more willing than the ear,
Fine counsel is confusing, but example’s always clear;
And the best of all the preachers are the men who live their creeds,
For to see good put in action is what everybody needs.”

CR- Philippians 2:12

Lord, help me to be genuine and honest and unafraid to speak and do all that your Word exhorts. Let me practice self-control and walk this life in faith, allowing the Holy Spirit to complete me in Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6

About Doula Faith

I am first and foremost a child of God, "born again" into the Kingdom of God through faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has called me to be an "Encourager" of faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. I have learned through some painful trials of His unconditional love. The apple of my eye, is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Living Word.
