Psalm 103
Did you ever notice in scripture how healing is synonymous with the forgiveness of sin? When the faith of the paralytic’s friends placed him before Jesus, the first thing Jesus said to the man was, “ Be of good cheer your sins are forgiven”. He went right to the heart of the matter removing the doubtful obstacle out of the way. Could it be Jesus knew he was in disbelief about receiving anything good from God because of his sins? So Jesus revealed to him God had heard his prayers which opened the door of confidence concerning also His healing. Jesus came for that very reason; to atone for all sins. This is the Word that gets us off our backs and Walking in faith. (Matthew 9:1-8, Romans 3:23-26 23; 5:9-10)
How many of us who are saved do not believe we are worthy to receive the answer to our prayers because we are focused on our sins instead of our Savior? But the Word tells us those who have come to faith in Jesus Christ are made righteous because we believe. Some of us have a hard time receiving anything good unless we reciprocate in some way. The Truth is there is nothing we can do to repay God for His mercy and Grace in sending His Son to forgive our sins and healing our diseases; except to receive His unconditional love.
(John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-10, Romans 10:8-10)
What prevents us from leaving our paralysis of “unbelief”? Once we really accept and believe in God’s forgiveness for present, past and future sins we get up and walk in newness of life, where, there “we will hear a voice behind us say, when we stray to the left or the right, This is the Way, walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21, Romans 6:4)
Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life and in Him is abundant living for today and the assurance of everlasting life for all our tomorrows. This knowledge should have every one who believes leaping and skipping in faith! (John 14:6, John 10:10)
Dear believer, do not dwell in discouragement, doubt and fear any longer. Do not give these lies the time of day, but walk away and go back to your heavenly home, dwelling with Jesus.
