“Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:18
The same God who made all provision through creation will make all provision for those who are in Christ Jesus. He is a God who’s loving kindness never wavers or departs from those who place their trust in Him. 1
When God created the earth, He made all provision for us to enjoy all things. He made light to illuminate our paths even in times of darkness. He provided the food that would nourish our bodies and all life for His purpose. Before He created us in His image, He made all provision for our physical and spiritual being. He thought about our every need and made all things to sustain us. 2
Before the Pilgrims reached their destination God answered their prayers to make all provision in a new land:
“The area where the ship made landfall had belonged to the Patuxent’s, a fierce tribe that took intense delight in murdering anyone who would dare invade their territory. A sickness, however, had wiped them out, leaving their land free for the taking. (Other Indians, fearing “bad spirits,” would have no part of it.) The Pilgrims didn’t even have to clear fields for planting. They were already there for them.” 3
The Lord goes before us and secures our safety and makes all provision in times of trials.
The Lord fought the battle for King Y’hoshafat when he and his people sought God and in faith made the sacrifice of praise for His faithfulness. 4
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving
And His courts with praise.
Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the Lord is good;
His lovingkindness is everlasting
And His faithfulness to all generations.” 5
Before anything was made God had in mind our salvation through His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ. Knowing all things, He made provision for our sins, and restoration to Himself through the blood and sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. 6
Therefore, if God is for us who can be against us. He did not spare even His own Son in making the provision for our salvation, so in Christ Jesus we are equipped in all things to do the will of God for He has given us all things, even the gift of His Holy Spirit. 7
