Despair

Psalm  34:17

Psalm 69:13-20

On those days when I am in a dry place it’s like nothing is being accomplished and I am in stagnant waters.  It’s like being in quick-sand. I am stuck seemingly going no-where, all aspirations dissipate in the muddle. The more I attempt in my struggle, the more I sink into despair. Then as  His light dawns upon my heart and mind, I remember to call out to the Lord and the peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4: 4-7) settles my thoughts where I can trust and focus on His unconditional love.

I have to learn this lesson repeatedly about trusting in the Lord instead of my own understanding which is so limited (Proverbs 3: 5-6), Jesus is there to pull me out of the mire and place my feet once again on firm ground where I continue to learn to move forward according to His grace instead of my feeble efforts.  There is a rest that only Jesus Christ can give and we find it by trusting in His love above everything else.

About Doula Faith

I am first and foremost a child of God, "born again" into the Kingdom of God through faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has called me to be an "Encourager" of faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. I have learned through some painful trials of His unconditional love. The apple of my eye, is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Living Word.
