Holy Spirit Come

“But I tell you the truth, it is for your benefit that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.” John 16:7

When Jesus gathered His disciples together before His crucifixion, He told them He was going away but would send them a Helper, the Holy Spirit, Who would not leave them but would always be there.

In CS Lewis’s  “7 Words Christians Forget to Say to the Holy Spirit”, I learned the Holy Spirit is always there, waiting,  but to receive all He has for me, I have to learn how to be quiet, allow Him to Speak and to Listen to all HE says.

Due to an ongoing and very painful circumstance, I at times, fall in and out of depression.  So I asked the Lord to HELP me. He is always faithful and led me to this powerful teaching I want to share.

7 Words Christians Forget to Say to the Holy Spirit

“7 Words Christians Forget to Say to the Holy Spirit”
( CS Lewis Wisdom: Transcript of Video)

This video explores a deeply personal journey of spiritual growth, centering on the idea that the Holy Spirit desires an intimate relationship rather than mere religious performance. The speaker shares seven simple, powerful words that act as “doorways” to a deeper communion with the Holy Spirit. These words are not a formula but a sacred vocabulary for navigating life.

The Seven Words of Communion:

  1. Surrender (2:46): Moving past the idea of defeat, the speaker defines surrender as an exchange—giving up the burden of control to receive God’s peace and wisdom.
  2. Abide (5:49): Reframing faith from an occasional visit to God into a way of living, remaining with Him through the mundane and the difficult.
  3. Yield (8:06): Transitioning from simple obedience to offering permission for the Holy Spirit to inhabit and guide one’s life.
  4. Speak (10:39): Learning to use one’s voice as an instrument for God, believing that words spoken in the Spirit have the power to create light and build others up.
  5. Wait (13:22): Understanding that waiting is not a punishment or a delay, but a season of preparation where strength is renewed and trust is forged.
  6. Listen (16:01): Cultivating a posture of stillness to hear the “still, small voice” of the Spirit, transforming prayer from a monologue into a friendship.
  7. Come (18:34): An open invitation to the Holy Spirit, acknowledging that He is always near and waiting for the heart to open and welcome His presence.

By incorporating these seven words into daily life, the speaker emphasizes that one can move from striving to a state of divine peace and intimacy, where the presence of the Holy Spirit feels not like a distant concept, but like home.

Communion With Believers

Before we can have meaningful spiritual fellowship with fellow believers we must first have spiritual fellowship with God through His Son Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit.

About Doula Faith

I am first and foremost a child of God, "born again" into the Kingdom of God through faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has called me to be an "Encourager" of faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. I have learned through some painful trials of His unconditional love. The apple of my eye, is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Living Word.
