Day 14
Luke 1:26-38
The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called b the Son of God.”
NIV Luke 1:35
When the angel told Mary she would give birth to God’s Son, she didn’t understand how it could be possible since she was a virgin. The angel had no problem explaining how this event would take place. And when she was told, she believed. For the conception to take place, there had to be faith. God works through faith, and it is only our faith that pleases Him. For God has purposed to work through our trust and belief in what He has said.
(Hebrews 11:6, Luke 1:45, Ephesians 2:8)
It was through faith that the conception of Jesus Christ took place, and it is through faith in God’s message, His gospel concerning salvation that the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in every heart that believes.
Lord, Thank you for giving us the gift of faith the moment we believe in the salvation that comes through Your Son- Jesus Christ
