“Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”

My husband has supported the Salvation Army for many years, so imagine our surprise when we visited the Salvation Army’s website and discovered they have embraced the LGBTQ lifestyle. I am not talking about helping them to meet their practical needs, that’s great, but SA is going out on a limb to embrace their lifestyle by attending PRIDE events, hiring openly gay couples and transgenders all in the name to represent them instead of representing Christ. They’re calling it LOVE.

Is it love to deceive? SA is even quoting a scripture in their defense, that God has created them in His image. That is true, but what they leave out in that scripture is He created them male and female  with all their unique characteristics and biological differences.
So, did God not create us male and female, with distinct sexual bodies and roles? Am I wrong, here? Did He not say to increase in number, too? (Genesis 1:26-28)
But there is no scripture that is safe when an organization or person becomes apostate and either ignores God’s Word or worse, twists its meaning for the sake of avoiding criticism and COMPROMISE all that they know is TRUTH.

The Word is explicit about God’s view on homosexuality and sins of sexual immorality. He didn’t say to the adulterous woman caught in sin to go on sinning, but rather, “Sin no more”. Yet the Salvation Army who once advocated Jesus Christ is the only way to be set free from a destructive lifestyle, now blasphemes the Word of God by saying its ok, be nice, be kind, allow them to go on and be what they have chosen to be, and in essence, let them die in their sins. Is that Love? Did Jesus die so we could have a license to go on sinning without condemnation?

But what does the Word say:
“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.  And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6: 9-11 NKJV

“Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin.” Leviticus 18:22 NLT

“A woman shall not wear a man’s clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman’s clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.”
Deuteronomy 22:5

“For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.  Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.”
Romans 1:26-27 NKJV

“We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.” 1 Timothy 1: 9-11

 Another organization that once advocated that Jesus is the only way to be delivered from a destructive sinful lifestyle is now encouraging addicts to just believe in something they consider a higher power than themselves. This fosters in all kinds of false religion influence in their discussions. They have gone so far as to state, ” If you want, you can believe in a doorknob as your higher power”. That organization that helps alcoholics to be set free from alcohol is Alcoholics Anonymous.  Unfortunately, it appears, they don’t believe anymore in acknowledging the one true God, instead anything you might believe in as a “higher power”, will do. All of that we know, as Christians, is at best a temporary fix. But how about the sin problem. It seems both organizations have done what too many organizations do in face of criticism and rejection – COMPROMISE
I don’t see anything in God’s word about compromising our faith in Jesus Christ and the Truth. Do You? (Romans 6:23)

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge,
I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God,
I also will forget your children.” Hosea 4:6 NASB

To represent Jesus Christ and to deny His Word is a serious offense. And those who are called to represent Christ in their leadership will be judged for these things.

Jesus healed the sick, and fed the hungry and always told the Truth. More importantly, He took upon Himself the punishment for everyone’s sins and promised salvation to those who repent and turn to Him. Therefore, shall we go on sinning? (Romans 6: 1-2)

It costs to tell the Truth, but it is the Truth that sets us free. (John 8:31-32)
Let us pray for these Christian organizations that do so much to help others with their immediate needs but misrepresent Jesus Christ, by denying His Word.

“For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?”
