Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19
Many of us have encountered a crisis that challenges our faith, but recently, the Lord gave me His Word in my adverse circumstance, that He is doing a “New Thing”, but it will take His Work while it takes My Faith.
If you’ve ever observed the transformation of an orchid, you know there’s a time for blooms and a time for rest. When the blooms fall away and you are left gazing at an empty green branch, you begin to doubt whether you will ever see those beautiful blooms again. Usually, I start to overthink; should I give it more water or less, even though prior years of giving it less has proven success.
It’s like taking the time to recall God’s faithfulness:
“Let us acknowledge the Lord;
let us press on to acknowledge him.
As surely as the sun rises,
he will appear;
he will come to us like the winter rains,
like the spring rains that water the earth.”
Hosea 6:3
God is about making all things new, bringing about reconciliation and restoration even amid turmoil and strife. It’s not a new thing for him. He deals with our present circumstances and is ready to intervene the moment we trust. (Proverbs 3: 5-6)
The orchid neither toils nor spins, waiting, grounded in good soil, it takes in His Light. All it needs is a little water of encouragement, and it’s alright.
(Luke 12: 22-31)
The Lord gave me an ultimatum. I could either choose worry (weariness) or choose His Peace. Choosing Peace leads to Rest while choosing worry leads to restlessness.
(Hebrews 4: 9-11, Philippians 4: 6-8, Isaiah 40:28-31)
So when we enter the desert and all about us is wilderness, remember, God can put springs in our shoes and redirect our path. It only takes letting go and letting Him do the rest.

Well said Mary💕
