The Fruits of Praise

"It is good to give thanks to the Lord to sing praises to your name, O Most High."

Psalm 92:1 ESV

God’s Faithfulness

Scripture Context: Psalm 92

11/26/21 Scripture Focus: Psalm 92: 1-3

Summary S- It is good to declare your steadfast love and faithfulness and to praise your name, O Most High at the beginning and at the end of each day.

Key Words: Thanks and Praise

Reflection R– I have heeded God’s call to get up first thing in the morning before the sun rises to commune with Him. During this time I feel His steadfast love as He opens up  scriptures to me. And in prayer I declare my thankfulness. But I neglect to end the day in the same way. Instead, I meditate on things that make me restless and steal my peace. I see that the Lord wants me to end my day as I begin. I keep a diary about His faithfulness, now I need to also declare it, not only with my writing but with my mouth in the morning as I rise, and before I fall asleep,  may I sing His praise.

Cross References– Psalm 147:1, Psalm 59:16, Psalm 4:8, Psalm 127:2

Prayer P- Dear Lord, thank you for revealing to me through your Word how I am to begin and end each day with praise and thankfulness. You bless me so much, cleanse me with your truth,  and give me your grace. Help me to remember you in the evening as well as in the morning, and throughout the day. In Jesus Name, I pray.

Application/ The Fruit: 11/27/21
Last Night I went to bed with beautiful thoughts of God’s Creation. I was going to listen to praise music before retiring, but instead, my husband suggested we look for something together to view. I found this beautiful movie- God of Wonders on YouTube. It was such a birds – eye view on God’s Creation – and the gospel was shared too! So I ended my day with praise as I began it, which the Word showed me to do. Thank You Lord for helping me remember to do this in answer to my prayer.

I love your application and how the Lord used this movie ….please share!
I heard some disturbing news early yesterday morning and instead of spending more time with You I struggled all day. So I knew I needed to spend time with you before bed. Woke this am with a wonderful dream about a large boat. I couldn’t see how big it was but I free fell in the water from the boat. Looking above me I saw a plane in the distance. Kind of strange but felt Your peace throughout it!
