“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” Revelation 3:20
“My little children of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you.”
Galatians 4:19
“Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” John 3:3
God chose you to be a dwelling place for your child. You do not yet see but you are made confident through signs of your body stretching and changing in preparation for this child.
(Hebrews 11:1)
When Mary heard the news of her divine pregnancy, she believed and it was accredit to her as righteousness. Immediately, she was given the gift of faith as she confessed her acceptance of the Truth. (Luke 1:45, Luke 1:38)
She knew the Lord would complete what He began in her and deliver His Son at the right time. While waiting for the birth of God’s Son she meditated on the Word spoken to her, and hid His promise in her heart. (Luke 2:19, Galatians 4: 4-7)
When she was three months with child, Mary visited her relative, Elizabeth. Elizabeth too, was pregnant even though she was well pass the time to conceive. She too, received the promise that a child was developing in her womb. As soon as she heard Mary’s voice, she could feel her unborn child jumping for joy. Before he was born, He recognized the presence of his Lord. (Luke 1:41-45)
Two women received the promise of conception and birth; one a young virgin and the other passed the age of conception. Yet both were confident of the promise of a son, and the evidence was beginning to manifest itself as their bodies began to stretch, and grow.
It begins with the Word of God meshing with the heart of hope, a heart that believes. In the moment of conception, Truth explodes and multiplies. Faith grows and develops intricately through the guidance and power of God’s Holy Spirit. As the Truth is knitted together, the Son of God is revealed, and nothing can take away what is formed in the heart (womb) of the believer by the Word of God. What God has begun, He will complete, on earth, as well as in heaven. (John 10:28, John 14:21, Psalm 139:13-16, Philippians 1:6)
This child is not of you, but in you. Just as a believer in Christ is no longer of the world but in the world, your child will develop according to God’s Will. Before this child was formed, God had a plan and purpose for his life. (John 15:19, Psalm 139:16, Jeremiah 29:11).
Jesus said, abide in me and I’ll abide in you. You are not creating this child, God is doing the job. You are providing a dwelling place for the fragile beginning of life. You did not create the attachment of the child to your life blood, God did. Through the life cord, your blood is transferring nourishment and oxygen while eliminating waste. (John 15:4)
As soon as you come to faith, you are attached to the lifeline of Jesus Christ. Through obedience and abiding in His love, while receiving His nourishing Word and cleansing blood, you grow and develop In His likeness. (Romans 12:2, Romans 8:29)
Just as a baby has no power to develop herself, neither does the one who is born anew in Christ’s spirit. A child of God grows by accepting the Word of Truth while growing in faith.
(John 3: 3-16, Ephesians 2: 8-9)
When faith grows to the point of confessing it by mouth, the one who is called to faith in Christ Jesus becomes “born again”. Now by birth in the spirit, the babe in Christ begins to grow spiritually, hungry for the things of God. Detachment from the world begins, while attachment to the Lord has begun. (Romans 10:9-10, John 3:3, John 15:5)
The child of God takes on the Divine Nature of Christ (God’s DNA) through the Holy Spirit’s sanctification and the Milk of the Word. The babe in Christ is ravenous for God’s Truth.
(1 Peter 2:2, Matthew 5:6)
The divine nature is developed through faith in Christ’s salvation and walking in love.
(2 Peter 1:4)
Just as you and your child are developing a physical, emotional relationship with one another, you and Christ are developing a spiritual relationship as you abide through faith and His love. ( 1 Corinthians 6:17, John 17:21-23, Genesis 2:23)
The fellowship and relationship between God and mankind was destroyed because we mistrusted God. Yet, while we were still rebellious, God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to restore us back to Himself. Those who accept God’s unconditional love, are restored. Those who refuse His unconditional love, remain alienated because they refuse to trust the only way of reconciliation through Christ’s blood.
(Genesis 3: 1-6,15, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19)
Just as God is knitting your child within your womb, He is knitting His Son, in your heart. One day you will see Him as He is, as clearly as the child you will one day hold in your arms.
( 1 John 3: 2-3)
I pray for every woman with child, who is growing and developing in faith.
Just as your unborn child is growing and developing more and more in your likeness, I pray you will grow more and more in the likeness of Christ, whom you have placed your faith.
