How God Delivers in Trials through Co-Laboring with Christ

“Our part is to trust, His part is to deliver.” DF

“Shall I bring to the point of birth and not give delivery, says the Lord? Or shall I who gives delivery shut the womb, says the Lord? Isaiah 66:9

The Travailing, Intercession and Salvation of the Lord
John 1: 1-5, Isaiah 53:11, John 3: 1-21, Luke 23:34, Romans 8:34, Psalm 119:105, Galatians 3:26

God’s Word reveals the faithfulness of God to suddenly bring forth the promise of His Salvation in His perfect time and way. And so the promise of salvation was brought forth through the travailing of His Son, Jesus Christ, through His suffering and intercession. In this way, making it possible for all who believe to receive His Salvation and become     “Born Again”,  transitioning into the Kingdom of God.

My Testimony of God’s Deliverance in Childbirth
Psalm 46: 1-11, Romans 10:13, 2 Samuel 22:7, Isaiah 66:9

It was at the time when I was giving birth to my second child that I learned of my Lord’s faithfulness to deliver. I was determined to give birth without drugs for the safety of my unborn child and avoid the complications from unnecessary medical interventions suffered in my previous childbirth.

“I’d been there, done that, I was not going to do it again.”

But labor during transition proved to be very painful and I was unprepared. I was left with the words of my OB that it would be at least four more hours before delivery. I knew there was no way I could continue that long and since I refused any pain medication, the medical staff left my husband and I alone.
So I did the only thing I knew to do and that was to call upon the Lord. As soon as I asked Him for help, He gave it by telling me to relax.
As soon as I was physically relaxed my cervix completed its dilation (opening) along with my son’s rapid descent. Immediately, I had a natural urge to push and before anyone had the chance to do anything else, Michael was born.

Trials in the Believer’s Life and God’s Deliverance
1 Peter 4 & vs. 12-13, Hebrews 12: 5-6, Romans 5: 3-5

The process of labor and birth are similar to going through a trial of faith. Physical and spiritual trials in a believer’s life can be very painful, but they are the only way to bring forth the promises of God and align the believer’s life with the life of Christ.
Sometimes God speaks the loudest in our pain, because sometimes it is the only time we are willing to listen.

The Solution is to Pray, Trust and Wait upon the Lord

Philippians 4: 4-7, Proverbs 3: 5-6, Isaiah 40: 30-31, 64:4, Genesis 49:18, Psalm 27:14

“When we are willing in faith to pray, trust and wait, we see God’s promise fulfilled and the answer to our prayers delivered.” DF

“Oh, my dear children! I feel as if I’m going through labor pains for you again, and they will continue until Christ is fully developed in your lives.”  Galatians 4:19 NLT
