Depending on Jesus

“His Abide”

S- ummary- R-eflection-P-rayer

Content:  Matthew 24:15-22

“How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for nursing mothers in those days.”
Focus: Matthew 24:19

S- When the abomination spoken by Daniel is set up in the Holy Place, then those in Judea must flee. A person out on the deck of the roof must not go down into the house and get anything. A person in the field must not return to get a coat. How terrible it will be for pregnant women and for nursing mothers in those days.

R- There is such an urgency when this abomination occurs that everyone will want to get away.  It mentions how it will be especially terrible for women who are pregnant and are nursing.
This reminds me of how those who are the most vulnerable are also the most reliant on God. Today, in our country we are in a state of apostasy in so many ways, rejecting Him in our schools, and embracing gender changes, and aborting our children in the slaughter houses across our nation, We have set the stage for the abominations to fill the void in many ways.
There seems to be  a shortage of everything and Infant formula is now hard to find. But God has always made provision in even the worse of times. Women have been given the ability to give birth to their children and produce ample milk, even enough to share with women who are unable to lactate. But have many,  not given it  away , looking to mankind. to produce what God has already abundantly given?  Mary’s Birth

When Eve gave birth to Cain, she exclaimed,
“I have brought forth a child with the “help of the Lord.”

El Shaddai hears our cries in every generation and in every circumstance. Those who trust in Him are not without a Savior, for greater is He that is within those who Trust in the Lord, than those who are in the world.  1 John 4:4

“Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb?  Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.” Isaiah 49:15

CR – Luke 13:34, 1 John 4:4, Genesis 4:1

P-Lord, help us to remember to call on you in our hour of need, for we are near to your heart in every circumstance. Praise You for your steadfast love!
