World in Labor

Matthew 24: 6-8

“All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.”

S- The disciples asked Jesus what would be the signs of His Return and the end of the age.  Jesus told them there would be threats of wars and actual wars would take place between nations and kingdoms. In many parts of the world there would be earthquakes and famines, but all of this would be only the first part of the birth pains, with more to come.

R – What is coming forth as the world labors is the Kingdom of God where the sons of God – His Body is revealed. The old former governments will pass away as the new one reigns. And at the end of all things there will be a series of events- signs to give warning that everything in the world as we know it will end. When I think of how technology has advanced, worldwide, whereby we are informed of wars, earthquakes, and disasters globally taking place, it indeed indicates we are at the last hour where we need to be prepared.
The Word says “my people perish because of lack of knowledge”, and to come out of the world. Therefore, I need to move away from the media and all its distractions  whether good or bad.
God is calling me as a “born again believer” to  abide in His Word. His Word is Truth. I need a more intimate relationship with Him, so I do not fall away from all He shows me to do, in His Abide, in my secret place.

P- Lord, keep encouraging and alerting me to spend time with you in our Abiding Place.

“For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies ” Romans 8: 19-13
