The Savior’s Passion

Luke 19: 41-44

When Jesus drew near Jerusalem after His triumphant entry, after hearing the praises of the people, He wept over it, saying, “Would that you, even you, had known on this day the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.”  He further said that their “enemies would surround them and prevent them from escaping, tearing them down, with not one stone standing upon another because they did not know “the time of their “visitation.

Jesus knew that the praises would soon turn into accusations and rejection which would lead to His crucifixion and death. But even with this divine knowledge, He did not think of Himself, but mourned over everyone who could not see because they would rather remain in their sins then to repent.  But to those who believe, His spirit abides,  becoming the very temple built up to eternal life.

Lord, never let me take for granted my salvation, in which you paid the price for my sins, but to work it out in my life so I may glorify you and give you true praise.
In Jesus Name, Amen.  CR- Matthew 24:2, Ephesians 2: 21-22, John 14:27,
John 4:23-24, Philippians 2: 12-13
