I read the sixth chapter of R A Torrey’s The Power of Prayer –Praying in the Name of Jesus Christ.
And have come back to my child like faith in that it is only in Jesus Christ I can pray -Making claim to His promises because He is the Son of the living God and has been given all the inheritance which He dispenses as our provision. I can now pray knowing He has secured my salvation and everything I need is released from Heaven from the Father’s throne because my Savior, Jesus Christ, purchased me and I belong to Him. I can ask anything in His Name and receive it based on His great love and affection not my own.

Lord, show me what I can do for you, be lifted up above myself and all circumstances, afflictions, worries, be exalted, manifested in my life as I remain hidden and you exposed- in all your glory so as to draw men and women and children to yourself.

“Lord, I surrender my mind , body, soul and spirit – releasing all into your loving hands & Grace, allowing You to do according to your perfect will. I trust in You, in only You do I put my trust.” DF

I was overwhelmed with doom as I remembered my sins and failures, then I was reminded of God’s great mercy and steadfast love which is not temporary but everlasting. Psalm 40

He will empower me to do His will. If He allows my body to die, but He is glorified in the process, then I can cross heaven’s threshold with joy in my heart. Sweet Surrender equals Sweet Peace forevermore.
