Transition in Faith

“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! “ Isaiah 49:15

“He will feed his flock like a shepherd, he will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and will gently lead those that have their young.” Isiah 40:11

                                                                                      
Just before God delivered His people (Hebrews) out of the land of Egypt, Pharaoh increased their labor (Exodus 5:1-18). The people were angry at Moses and God (vs. 19), but it proved to heal their complacency and motivated them to trust and follow God’s direction. Before their departure, God removed all obstacles protecting them with the blood of the lamb (Exodus 6-12). God opened wide the path making all provision (Exodus 11:1-3, Proverbs 16:25, Exodus 14: 10-12). After entering His rest (Exodus 14:13-14), God parted the red sea, and all the rough places were made smooth (vs. 15-22). And as they journeyed into the promise land, the one who had birthed them was there also holding their hand (Hosea 11:1-4).

                                                                                      
During the time of intense labor the cervix of the uterus (opening) dilates to make room for the transition of the baby from uterus to birth canal. Many times women are coached to push as soon as the cervix is fully dilated. But God says, rest and wait. God has designed birth with a rest period following the hardest part of labor. This lull period is God’s grace (Psalm 46:10, Exodus 14:14) This is not the time to push, but wait (Isaiah 40:31, Isaiah 49:23). During this time, the baby is guided by love hormones (oxytocin)- energized to align perfectly into the pelvis where powerful muscles await the birthing process (Isaiah 40:31). These are God’s powerful hands. He is able to deliver in all circumstances when our faith aligns in Him.

                                                                                       
These love hormones (oxytocin) likening to God’s unconditional love transitions our faith during trials and tribulation. He counteracts all doubts and fears with His unconditional love. These love hormones secreted from His Word- perfect our faith. As we read, meditate and apply these truths to our circumstance, the transitioning is energized while we are still, rested, waiting for His perfect timing (Romans 5:6). We co-labor with Christ through faith. When we enter His Rest waiting for His provision we enter the promise land. It is His Work that delivers and not our own.
Christ’s work at the cross delivered us from darkness into His marvelous light and it is His work that delivers us in all our trials and tribulations (Ephesians 2:8, Hebrews 4: 9-11, Colossians 1:13, 1 Peter 2:9, Psalm 34:4, Psalm 18:6).

Leaving everything behind, forsaking all others, the new birth transitions the believer into The Kingdom of God where Christ reigns eternal.DF
