“OBEDIENCE”

“If you love Me, you will keep my commandments.”  John 14:15

Knowledge of His Word

One day while exercising on my treadmill,  I listened to the message-  The Test of our Love. I learned that if I love God I will do what pleases Him. His Word says that what pleases Him is living a life of obedience.  Jesus said, If you love me, you will keep my commandments. But where does the faith come to obey?  Faith comes and is strengthen by hearing the Word of God.  There are times when I am in the habit of doing what I think will please Him without even asking. Those things are my “little sacrifices” that I want to do.  God says in His Word that He does not desire my service or sacrifices but rather my obedience. In what matters am I to be obedient?  I am to be obedient in loving God with all my heart and all my soul and to love others the same as myself.  When I demonstrate love towards Him and others I fulfill His law.
